Shaquille O’Neal Lists His Florida Estate For $28M

It's safe to say it'll be a slam dunk for Shaq's bank account.

When we say Shaq’s ballin’, we mean it both literally and figuratively. The legendary basketball star just listed his sprawling 12-bed, 15-bath estate in the Florida community of Windermere for a whopping $28 million. But here’s the best part: He bought the home back in 1993 for just $3.95 million, which means he’ll walk away from this sale with some extra padding in his pocket.

Tucked behind a 10-foot privacy wall, the gated estate is set on three sprawling acres overlooking the peaceful Lake Butler. Measuring 31,000 square feet, the expansive property is certainly fit for king. Step into the two-story foyer and you’re greeting by double curved staircases that guide guests into the magnificent great room, which alone measures 1170 square feet. It’s equipped with built-in sofas, a two-story marble fireplace, stunning wood beams and large corbels that provide the perfect complement to a wall of glass overlooking Lake Butler. Furnished in deep, rich color tones, the home features large open doorways and handcrafted wood paneling and moldings throughout. Designed to capitalize on the exquisite panoramic views of the lake from almost every room, the home is truly a grand retreat. Outside, a sparkling swimming pool with 15 feet in depth has its own fun rock waterfall feature, while a summer kitchen, sprawling patio space, summer kitchen and cabana provide the perfect spot to enjoy the Florida sunshine. And in true baller style, the home comes with a 17-plus car garage with showroom details. There’s even a walk-in humidor and 6000-square-foot indoor basketball court, if you just wanted a couple more examples of the estate’s grandeur. Also, don’t miss a peek at the giant Superman statue chilling on the deck overlooking the lake.

Shaq is the owner of several properties throughout the country. He recently dropped $1.815 million on a home in Bell Canyon, CA, and he also maintains a $1.15 million home in McDonough, GA
