Israeli Dubstep DJ Borgore Buys in Hollywood Hills

The musician some credit for Miley Cyrus' makeover scores a sweet L.A. pad.

A resounding “mazel tov” is in order for Israeli dubstep DJ/music producer Borgore. The Tel Aviv native (real name: Asaf Borger) just purchased a Hollywood Hills home for $2.27 million earlier this month. The four-bedroom, four-bath spread, which was built in 1956, is a 2,883-square-foot beauty in the Lake Hollywood area.

The contemporary-style home features walls of glass, which seem to have inspired Borgore’s music, judging from the video for his track “Ratchet” which features several women shoving their derrieres against glass walls. And then there’s the popular eco-friendly Ann Sacks tile throughout, along with custom cabinetry with imported Italian finishes, and brand-new Viking kitchen appliances, if Borgore feels like getting in touch with his domestic side.

It looks like this home is perfect for a party animal, as it’s set up for entertaining: There are huge observation decks, alfresco dining set against the bright lights of Los Angeles, and spacious mountain views alongside a professionally designed backyard. And of course there’s a large pool, remote controlled fireplaces, and an indoor/outdoor sound system. But would you expect any less from a world-class DJ?

Borgore has worked with big-timers ranging from Jason Derulo (who just purchased his own $3 million pad in Tarzana, CA) to Britney Spears. (He’s the brains behind the dubstep version of her song “Womanizer.”) The DJ has also worked with Miley Cyrus; she sang backup on his 2012 song “Decisions,” a move some credit as the inspiration for her new club kid stage persona.

Interestingly enough, according to the MLS listing, this home also comes complete with a “vegan garden.” Which leads us to wonder what kind of garden isn’t vegan?
