Pete Sampras And Bridgette Wilson-Sampras List Their Brentwood Home For $8.9 Million

The tennis legend and his actress wife are serving up their modern estate in the ritzy Los Angeles neighborhood.

As they say on the tennis court, it looks like Pete Sampras is hungry for the title. But in this case, the title isn’t a tournament but a $3 million profit on his Los Angeles, CA, home for sale. Pete and his wife, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, who famously played teacher Veronica Vaughn in Billy Madison, have listed their 6,900-square-foot home for sale, with a price tag of $8.9 million. That’s a hefty price hike from the $5.6 million they paid for the six-bed, seven-bath property back in 2009.

The contemporary craftsman property built in 2009 is tucked behind gates at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac in Brentwood. Recently expanded, the home features an open floor plan with custom two-story beamed ceilings, wood floors, and large custom picture windows.

Pete may not play doubles on the court, but his home sure does: There are two master suites (one on each floor) as well as four additional bedrooms. An oversized library also serves as a theater/screening room. Outside, the estate features a swimming pool, spa, fireplace, outdoor kitchen, fountains, and rolling, manicured lawns. The wooded, forestlike surroundings offer a variety of streams and trails for outdoor enthusiasts. But there’s no tennis court!

In typical celebrity style, the Brentwood estate isn’t Pete and Bridgette’s only property. Back in 2014, the couple purchased a Bel Air property for just under $6 million. That home, which does have a tennis court, has famous roots, once belonging to comedic legend Albert Brooks, and Merv Griffin before him. That same year, Pete and Bridgette decided to play doubles again, purchasing a second home in the same ZIP code for $3.5 million.

Pete previously lived in ultraluxe Beverly Hills, CA, but he ditched that property in 2004, selling it to famous Hollywood producer Jon Peters for a cool $3 million. In 2011, the couple sold off one of their most luxurious properties, a custom estate in the Thousand Oaks, CA, gated community of Lake Sherwood, after it sat on the market for about two years. Clearly, Pete wasn’t the only pro athlete in that area: Hockey’s Wayne Gretzky and baseball’s Lenny Dykstra also had homes in the neighborhood. Oh, and Britney Spears.
