NBA Baller Amar’e Stoudamire Selling Phoenix Condo

NBA baller Amar’e Stoudamire is selling his 8th floor Phoenix condo. Like the NBA lockout, the sale of this particular property has been difficult to sort out for the 6’10 New York Knicks star.  The Real Estalker has the full run-down of Stoudamire’s full real estate portfolio drama, but this particular Phoenix property has it’s own interesting backstory.

The condo was first listed on the open market in February 2008, and was subsequently placed on and pulled off the market multiple times in the succeeding years. Not one to give up, Stoudamire put the property back on the market in June of this year, with an asking price of $1,375,000. The NBA player paid $1,775,000 for the condo, so even if he can get a slam-dunk buyer for the entire listing price, he still stands to lose $400,000.

For a buyer that wants to take the condo off Stoudamire’s hands, they’ll be getting a luxury 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, 3,000 square feet unit on the 8th floor of the Esplanade Place. Built in 2003 and purchased by Stoudamire in 2004, the unit is upgraded with top-of-the-line finishes. It has a large, open great room and flowing floor plan. A gourmet, eat-in kitchen features stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry and granite countertops. The huge master bedroom has a sitting room and mountain views. A guest suite has a separate entrance for complete privacy. Esplanade Place is a full-service, luxury building that features a roof-top swimming pool, a clubroom/party room with catering kitchen to host large parties, a conference room and round-the-clock security.
