Nate Berkus Remodels, Then Lists In Los Angeles

Now’s your chance to scoop up a home designed by the home decor tycoon!

Just last year, Oprah’s former home-makeover sidekick Nate Berkus snapped up this stunning 1920s Spanish Revival home in Los Angeles, CA, for $2.36 million. Now, Nate and his husband, interior designer Jeremiah Brent, have renovated and revamped the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home and listed it for $2.995 million. It’s not every day a home designed by Nate Berkus hits the market! And with a celebrity clientele like Jennifer Lopez and Billy Joel, it’s safe to say this guy is doing something right.

Located above the Sunset Strip, the Hollywood Hills, CA, home is just around the corner from the legendary Chateau Marmont and the former home of actor Marlon Brando. Measuring 3,643 square feet, it’s ideal for entertaining, a focus Berkus is known for. You’ll notice his unique touch in the gorgeous living room, where hardwood floors, high ceilings, and large picture windows provide an open and airy aesthetic, while a wood-burning fireplace provides that cozy, comfortable feeling. Overhead, Spanish-style arches and intricate crown molding give a nod to the home’s construction during the golden age of Hollywood in 1924. A roomy chef’s kitchen features a large island and top-of-the-line appliances, including double ovens.

The master bedroom is a beautiful oasis with its own private patio overlooking the city of Los Angeles, CA. Another bonus is its spacious walk-in closet with extensive built-in shelving. The three additional bedrooms each have en-suite baths, while a maid’s quarters/guest room on the first floor provides another bedroom option. The dazzling experience inside continues outdoors, where a large swimming pool sparkles, and several patios and gardens provide outdoor seating areas.

Nate and Jeremiah, who showed off their East Coast home in an Architectural Digest spread, are so highly regarded for their house-flipping knowledge that they’ll be coming to our TV screens this fall. The couple’s new program, Married to Design: Nate and Jeremiah, will show the dashing duo flipping properties for distressed homebuyers.
