Matthew Perry Buys Century City Penthouse for $20 Million

The private, full-floor property has panoramic views.

Matthew Perry has a brand new best “Friend:” his real estate agent.

The actor and prolific luxury home buyer and seller has just made another high-priced purchased in the Los Angeles area. He just closed on a full-floor luxurious penthouse in Century City. Listed for $26.5 million, Perry paid just $20 million, which equates to $2,146 per square foot.

The sky-high purchase price gets Perry a four-bedroom, eight-bathroom penthouse with views that stretch from Downtown LA across the Santa Monica Mountains, to the Pacific Ocean, which he can gaze upon from the home’s floor-to-ceiling windows. The 9,318 square foot penthouse has an incredible master suite, a formal dining room that seats 25, and an eat-in luxury kitchen with an adjoining den.

Located in ‘The Century,” designed by starchitect Robert A.M Stern, the home has 24 hour security, valet, doorman and concierge. Other luxury building amenities include four private acres of lush gardens, a 75-foot lap pool, gym, Pilates and yoga studios, spa, screening room, bar lounges, a wine cellar and more. If you can imagine it, The Century is likely to have it.

The urban penthouse is a departure from Perry’s most recent home purchases, which were always single-family homes with expansive grounds. He’s currently seeking to sell one of those properties: a Hollywood Hills estate listed for $13.5 million. Across town, he also owns a $12M home on the beach in Malibu that he bought in October 2011.
