Oakland Raider’s backup QB Matt Flynn may not be starting on the field, but he’s making moves off the field.
After being traded to the Oakland Raiders from the Seattle Seahawks after losing the starting position to Russell Wilson, Flynn put his “lodge-style retreat” in Issaquah, WA on the market and made the move to the San Francisco Bay Area to suit up for Oakland.
While Flynn may be sweating his future in the NFL after losing the starting QB job with the Raiders to Terrelle Pryor due to tendonitis in his elbow, he’s not worried about carrying a mortgage on his former home near Seattle.
Flynn and his new wife Lacey Michew plunked down $1,225,000 for the home in May 2012, and even gushed about the home on their wedding website, but their life in the Seattle area would be short. The trade to Oakland left the couple with no choice but to put their home of barely a year back on the market, this time with a $1,448,000 price tag. The home sat on the market for months before it got a $49,000 price chop and finally found a buyer!
A new buyer now has Flynn’s awe inspiring views of the Issaquah valley and mountains from the 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 5,800 square foot lodge-style home. The home’s features include a spacious gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances and a walk-in pantry, a spa-inspired master retreat, 5 car garage with shop, wine room and laundry rooms on each floor.
