You wanna be on top … of the real estate market? It’ll cost you.
If you want to smize your way to Top Model status like supermodel-turned-TV-host Tyra Banks, now’s your chance. The catch? You’ll have to drop $7.75 million on her 6,000-square-foot home in the most desirable ZIP code in the U.S.: 90210.
The three-bed, seven-bath home, built in 1926, is a fully renovated Spanish Colonial that maintains the integrity of its original architectural beauty. Handcrafted tiles adorn the outdoor fountains and stairways in the main house, while travertine stone and maple floors are spread throughout. Vintage French doors and hardware with clerestory windows give the living room a true California glow, as does the lush landscaping overlooking the loggia, a covered exterior gallery.
The master suite, where you just know Tyra practices her smizes, has a sitting room with a view of Los Angeles, and a spacious walk-in closet and safe room. (It’s smart to be safe; the girl did have a stalker a few years back!)
There are two additional bedroom suites, as well as a media room, library, sunroom, formal dining area, and chef’s kitchen. A gym provides the opportunity to stay in Top Model shape, while the outdoor living room, which features a kitchen, seating for 12, and fire pit overlooking the swimming pool and gardens, is the perfect spot to gather with girlfriends. Coincidentally, the MLS listing for the home notes that it’s located in the “Beverly Hills Post Office” neighborhood, which is perfect if you need to pick up your TYRAMAIL!
Tyra purchased the home back in 2004 for $3.085 million, which means she’ll make a pretty penny if it sells at the current listing price of $7.75 million. Sounds like that time at Harvard Business School’s executive education program really served her well! The buxom beauty will also be on TV screens again soon: Word on the Web is that she’s set to guest-star on the hit ABC show Black-ish, Entertainment Weekly reports.
And this Spanish estate isn’t Tyra’s only home in the Los Angeles area: Back in 2014, she snagged a house in the picturesque Pacific Palisades for $3.295 million. But seeing as her empire is worth a total of $90 million, that’s just pocket change for one of the world’s most famous supermodels.
