Rocker John Fogerty Sells Beverly Hills Mansion For $18.6 Million

Creedence Clearwater Revival rocker John Fogerty just sold his massive Beverly Hills estate for $18.6 million!

The home popped up as an off-market ‘pocket listing’ with a $23 million price tag in July 2013.

Nearly 9 months later, a buyer swooped in and made an offer significantly under asking, and the deal closed on March 21, 2014. While Fogerty didn’t exactly sell it for a song, it was $4.4 less than what he’d hope to sell it for.

Purchased by the “Proud Mary” rocker on November 20, 2002 for $2,900,000, the home at 2553 Summitridge Dr. had 5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and 13,476 square feet at the time he bought it. 10 years later, the home has undergone some extensive renovations that added an additional 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2,500 square feet to the residence.

Now, the home sits on 3 meticulously landscaped acres and features a gated entrance and circular motor court with fountain leading to the garage motor court. Inside,  16,000 square feet of living space includes 9 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a 2-story foyer with fireplace, double-barrel vaulted main hallway, formal living room with fireplace, formal dining room with wine room, gourmet kitchen, 2-story family room with fireplace, wood paneled library with fireplace, home theater, 2nd floor lounge with wet bar, 4+ car garage and more.

Outside, the property has an incredible entertainer’s yard with a covered loggia with fireplace, mosaic-tiled swimming pool with spa, expansive patio, children’s playground and outdoor dining and cooking areas. There is also a separate guest house with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room and kitchen.

Fogerty has since moved on to a 7 bedroom, 13,053 square foot estate in Thousand Oaks, CA that he purchased for $9 million in May 2013.
