Jim Parsons may make $1 million per episode, but The Big Bang Theory star isn’t averse to getting a few more: He just listed his three-bed, four-bath home in the uber-cool Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Feliz for $8.95 million. And in true Hollywood style, the property has been passed through a series of famous hands: Parsons purchased the home from Twilight alum Robert Pattinson for $6.375 million back in 2014. Pattinson, who shared the home with then-girlfriend Kristen Stewart, bought the home from legendary actor Tim Curry. Even Kareem-Abdul Jabbar reportedly lived there!
Built in 1922, the Spanish-style home is a 4026-square-foot beauty. Located on a lot that measures over 63,000 square feet, it was one of the first homes built in the gentle rolling hills above Los Feliz. Tucked behind gates for the ultimate privacy, the home features preserved architectural details with modern amenities. The large main rooms have the original beams and hand painted ceilings, as well as plenty of natural light and easy flow onto the rear patio/outdoor living area. An updated eat-in kitchen opens to its own outdoor dining patio, while the formal dining room provides another option. Upstairs, a master suite features a period-appropriate new copper bath, spacious closet and dressing area, and a lovely balcony overlooking the terrace and lushly landscaped hillside. The home also has a stylish den with plenty of built-in bookshelves, as well as a smaller card room. Parsons is quite the real estate aficionado, owning three properties in the same building in Manhattan‘s Gramercy Park. Before that, he had a more modest starter home (well, for a celeb at least) which he sold for $1.575 million that same year.
Parsons stars opposite Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki on the hit CBS series. Like his co-star, Galecki also bought his home from a fellow TV titan. Back in 2001, he purchased his home from Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey for $982,500.
