He may be closely identified with Philadelphia, PA, but It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Glenn Howerton was living in Venice Beach, CA, all along. The actor, who plays the vain Dennis Reynolds on the hit FXX comedy, just listed his four-bedroom, four-bathroom home for sale in Venice, CA, for $2.425 million. The Dennis of Venice! Although it’s not as if he’s the only star there — everyone from pop star Kesha to Game of Thrones goddess Emilia Clarke has snagged a bit of real estate in the oceanside neighborhood.
The 3,126-square-foot craftsman-style home was built in 2008 and fuses traditional and modern styles, like elegant designer finishes and a welcoming, comfortable aesthetic. A large, covered front porch is the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy the breeze. Step inside the two-story home, and you’ll find a formal dining room flanked by a proper living/sitting room with an inviting fireplace and rich wainscoting. A chef’s kitchen with spacious marble countertops, a large center island, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances is the perfect spot to cook up a big meal, while the large family room with multiple built-ins is a great spot to gather. It may not be Paddy’s Pub, but it’ll be hard to resist this spread.
Through sliding French doors, the family room opens out to a covered porch that leads to a lush backyard with mature fruit trees and an outdoor living room with a built-in fire pit. Upstairs, the spa-like master suite has vaulted ceilings, a walk-in closet, and an en-suite bath that glows with natural light. Out on the private balcony, treetop views and an infrared sauna are an added bonus. And we all know the gang from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia loves a sauna … though we’re willing to bet this one’s a step up from theirs.
Howerton bought the Venice home back in 2009 for $1.692 million. So far, there’s no word on where he’s moving, but we’re willing to bet it’s not to Philadelphia.
