When you’re a rising hip-hop star, a Hollywood, CA, mansion is par for the course. And that’s why rapper G-Eazy (real name: Gerald Earl Gillum) has joined the ranks of fellow hip-hop royalty by buying a four-bed, five-bath Tuscan villa in the Hollywood Hills. Not too bad for the ripe ol’ age of 27! If he keeps going at this rate, maybe he can reach the real estate big leagues of hip-hop moguls like Russell Simmons and Jay Z.
The 3,642-square-foot home, which was built in 1979, towers over the city of Los Angeles, CA, with great livability and flow. Vaulted, hand-hewn beam ceilings are complemented by custom Italian and Moroccan tile, along with handmade iron rails and lighting. The dual master suites each feature luxurious baths and walk-in closets, as well as a cozy fireplace to help one unwind. A self-contained guesthouse can be converted into a gym or recording studio, which is ideal for G-Eazy, in case he feels like spitting out a few rhymes after breakfast.
City-to-ocean jetliner views from every room highlight the beauty of this classic, highly coveted Hollywood Hills neighborhood, while the sun-drenched saltwater pool and built-in barbecue guarantee that houseguests will be flocking to G-Eazy’s front door. We’re curious if his frequent collaborator Britney Spears might pop over for a quick dip!
In true Hollywood style, G-Eazy didn’t pick up the lovely home from some nondescript owner. In fact, he bought it earlier this year from former ER and current Salem star Shane West. And seeing as Shane spent $1.775 million on the home back in 2006, we’re thinking G-Eazy got himself a sweet deal. Hey, if rapping ever slows down, he could always dive headfirst into the real estate field!
