Found on Trulia: A Contemporary Home in Oklahoma City

What do you get when you take more than 3,400 square feet of open living space, divide it by a massive master suite and a ginormous walk-in closet, then add in an LED-lit pool and an over-the-top, geometric roof?

It’d probably look something like this sultry bachelor(ette) pad in Oklahoma City, which — let’s be real — could make even the happiest of better halves yearn for the perks of single life.

Who wouldn’t want to hog the sheets in the master suite’s upholstered bed, take up all the shelf space within the all-black dressing room, or unceremoniously skip the towel in the all-glass bathroom just because they can? In other words, autonomy is amenity number one here, but it doesn’t come cheap: This 2-year-old contemporary is listed for $1.3 million.

Forget foreplay: The home makes its first move within the entryway, which greets guests with a profusion of black metal and all-white (almost) everything else. A fire glows under a wall-mounted flat-screen, but even with its over-the-top hearth, the ventless fireplace can barely compete with the view of the outdoor pool, and is that a floor-to-ceiling wine rack we see?

Looking back toward the entry, the irregularly shaped windows and front doorway serve as a reminder of the home’s angular roof and futuristic aesthetic. A gargantuan ceiling fan keeps the air flowing throughout the two-story space.

In the modern kitchen, which is reached via a half-flight of stairs from the living room, the home’s black-and-white color scheme is offset by — what else? — stainless steel appliances, including a commercial-sized refrigerator. Flanked by quartz countertops, the sink area enjoys an unobstructed view of the pool.

The residence’s pièce de résistance (and probable reason for 99% of its foot traffic): the unabashedly sexy outdoor pool. With its hot tub and one-story-high cascading fountain, this thing’s a real showstopper, especially after dark, when colored LED lights emit an otherworldly glow throughout the heated salt water. Back on deck, a kitchen impresses with granite countertops and the novelty of outdoor meal prep.

Retractable doors create a seamless portal from the pool to the media room. Adjacent to and just below the formal dining room, this is a retreat designed for postmeal nightcaps or, as the picture shows, checking the feed from the home’s perimeter security cameras.

Bordered by a pool-view balcony on one side and enclosed by black privacy shades, the second-floor master suite sizzles with a fireplace and heated floors leading to the tricked-out bathroom.

Sharing the same coal-colored wall paint as the bedroom, the huge walk-in closet features a wine cooler and a washer and dryer. Still, the master bath reigns in amenities. This is more of a human carwash than a basic bathroom, and it’s the only space in the home that’s clearly meant for two. The glass-enclosed room plays host to a double tub and double vanities, while twin showers cleanse with 12 total-body jets and two 24-by-24-inch showerheads (LED-illuminated, of course).
