Edward Norton Lists His Malibu Pad For $5.25M

The first rule of celebrity real estate is having a multi-million dollar investment property.

In Hollywood, every celebrity has a side hustle as a real estate investor. And it looks like Fight Club star Edward Norton is no different: He just listed his three-bed, two-bath beach house in the ritzy oceanfront city of Malibu for $5.25 million. Norton purchased the home 10 years ago for $2.72 million, meaning if he scores his asking price, he’ll make a sweet multi-million dollar profit on the two-unit property.

Built in 1928, the 1000-square-foot home is a classic slice of Malibu life. Located on Las Flores “Dog Beach,” the home is vintage Malibu style with 43-feet of beach frontage- a rarity in a neighborhood where each foot of beach space is treated like gold. Fully furnished, the three-bedroom house can be split into two halves, ideal for sharing between friends who want to maintain a prime beach house. In the top unit there’s two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom, a full kitchen, and a wraparound ocean-view porch, perfect for sipping a cup of coffee as the sun rises. In the bottom unit, there’s a sun-filled bedroom, full kitchen, and huge working area. (There’s also a piano, if you feel like tickling the ivories after surfing the waves.) Both levels overlook a massive wood deck that leads out toward sparkling ocean, as well as a prime outdoor entertaining area with a hot tub, private sandy yard, and charming Tiki Hut- perfect for beachfront barbecues and parties.

As for Norton himself, he dropped $11.8 million last year on famed architect John Lautner’s ‘Stevens’ House.’ Built in 1968, the home is an architectural masterpiece on the beach in the famed Malibu Colony. He’s also the owner of a Los Angeles home he bought from Drew Barrymore back in 2001, and a Penthouse apartment in New York’s Greenwich Village neighborhood. Maybe the first rule of Fight Club should be… have tons of spare money!
