NBA Star DeMar DeRozan Buys Sporty Estate

His new $3.75 million Tarzana, CA, property is a slam-dunk.

Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan has just dropped $3,752,500 on a 7-bedroom, 8-bathroom, 6,609-square-foot estate in Tarzana, CA.

The NBA star spends the season in Canada, but his new digs say that he’s keen to stay close to his roots. DeRozan was a standout high school basketball star at Compton High School in Los Angeles, and he didn’t go far for college when he landed at the University of Southern California.

He didn’t stay long in the college basketball world. He played just one year before being drafted by Toronto as the ninth pick in the first round of the 2009 NBA draft.

DeRozan has spent the entirety of his NBA career north of the border, but he’s now got a sweet SoCal spot to spend his downtime at.

In a guard-gated neighborhood, DeRozan’s new Tarzana house has a dual staircase, distressed wood floors, media room, kitchen with double island and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances (the kitchen also opens to an outdoor covered patio and fireplace), a family room with beamed ceilings, a large formal dining area, living room with high ceilings, fireplace, and doors that open to the backyard, office, maids room, and laundry room.

All bedrooms are suites with their own bathrooms, and a huge master retreat has a sitting area, balcony, two closets, and an incredible master bathroom with soaking tub and steam shower.

The backyard features rolling lawns, a large sparkling pool and spa with slide, covered cabana, and a massive basketball/sport court, where DeRozan can dribble in the warm California sun.

Off the court, DeRozan needs more space: He and his fiancee, Kiara Morrison, welcomed a daughter in May 2013.
