Longtime Hollywood star and environmentalist Daryl Hannah is selling her bucolic Malibu compound for $4,995,000, according to the Real Estalker. While the sprawling property is a massive 17.6 acres, the actual living quarters are two teeny-tiny (albeit charming) homes.
Private and park-like, the home is described as a “farm, oasis and retreat, all-in-one.” Once a nursery, Hannah’s property is home to many exotic plants, trees and giant cacti. One of the two homes on the property is an original 1927 river-stone hunting lodge surrounded by an outdoor moss deck that has recently been updated to include in-floor heating, large walk-in closet/dressing room and an indoor/outdoor shower with a Japanese soaking tub.
The other home is a rustic and casual lodge. There are numerous acres of flatland, as well as a large, flat, fenced pasture, acres of terraced, irrigated orchard or vineyard ready land. Other earthly amenities include a deer-fenced vegetable garden, an ancient palm grove, tons of sunshine and even views of the nearby Pacific Ocean.
Daryl Hannah has been a fixture in Tinseltown since she arrived on the scene in the late 70’s and became a bonafide star in the 1980’s when she appeared in Blade Runner. Her most well-known role as the sexy mermaid Madison in Splash, which debuted in 1984. Since then, she’s appeared in a roster of other films that include Wall Street, Steel Magnolias, Northfork, and Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill franchise. She also makes headlines through her aggressive activism, which has led her arrest – most famously in front of the White House in the summer of 2011.
