Damon Wayans Sr. Buys Hancock Park Home For $5.35 Million

When you’re one of the kings of a comedy empire, it’s only fitting that you have a castle to match.

If you spent your nights in the ’90s watching In Living Color, then you’ll get a kick out of this one: Damon Wayans, one of the heads of the notorious Wayans comedy dynasty, has dropped $5.35 million on a stunning home for sale in Los Angeles, CA.

The soon-to-be star of the Lethal Weapon TV series has purchased a grand, Paul Williams–style property located on one of the most coveted streets in the Hancock Park neighborhood, with five bedrooms and seven baths. A stylish main house, built in 1949, features a bright and open floor plan bathed in natural light. In the formal living room, a marble fireplace sits near two large bay windows. A chef’s kitchen and breakfast room with custom built-ins is the ideal gathering spot for any family (especially one as big as the Wayans family!), while the family/media room also has its own fireplace. It opens out to the backyard, providing a sense of indoor/outdoor flow.

The master suite has its own private deck, custom walk-in closets, and a luxurious bath. A true smart home, the property is equipped inside and out with security cameras, surround sound, and home automation systems. A separate guesthouse has pitched, beamed ceilings, and outdoors, there’s a black-bottomed saltwater pool with a state-of-the-art pool house/gym that has its own private bath and outdoor shower. You know, in case former In Living ColorFly Girl” Jennifer Lopez feels like stopping over for a night!

Of course, this isn’t the only property Damon owns. He’s also had a $3 million condo in Santa Monica, CA, since 2005. After all, what kind of superstar would  own only one property?
