Chris Paul Searching For A Buyer In Bel Air

The Clippers baller is hoping the sale of his mansion will be a slam-dunk.

Basketball veteran Chris Paul is living the good life. The Los Angeles Clippers point guard is only 31 years old, but after 12 years in the NBA, he’s already moving on from the Bel Air Mediterranean mansion he bought back in 2012. In traditional Hollywood style, Chris’ eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom home comes with a celebrity-packed lineage: He bought the Los Angeles, CA, real estate from Canadian singer and eyeliner enthusiast Avril Lavigne back in 2012 for $8.5 million, and she bought it from Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker in 2007 for $9.5 million, taking a million-dollar loss on the property. (Maybe she wrote her hit song “Complicated” about the real estate market?) Travis, by the way, had the home since 2004, when he bought it for $6.2 million. If Chris sells the house at its current listing price of $11.5 million, he’s on track to make a cool $3 mil. Seems like a win to us!

The 12,184-square-foot mansion looks as if it could have been plucked right out of Italy. The property, built in 2003, is tucked behind the guarded gates of Bel Air Crest and overlooks stunning canyons. With a covered outdoor living/entertainment area, a barbecue station, and a swimming pool on its sprawling grounds, the home is ideal for entertaining. The mansion blends Old World Mediterranean style with modern technology — its cutting-edge features include a commercial elevator, home automation system, a 12-seat home theater, and a subterranean wine cellar that fits 500 bottles of vino.

Inside the home, guests are initially welcomed into the elegant two-story foyer, which opens into the formal living room, dining room, and chef’s kitchen with a breakfast area. A spacious family room provides a fun, family-friendly space, while the private master retreat includes a sitting room with a kitchenette, fireplace, private balcony, his-and-hers closets, and his-and-hers spa baths. The roomy 10-car garage should be ample space for Chris and his teammates to park their sweet rides — or maybe just fellow basketball star Stephen Curry and President Barack Obama, with whom he recently golfed in Martha’s Vineyard, MA, the Washington Post reported.

Chris still owns a more modest property in the Woodland Hills, CA, area, which he bought back in 2014 for $1.775 million. But his most recent foray into the real estate market came back in December, when he dropped $9 million on a luxurious home in Calabasas, CA, the Los Angeles Times reported. Maybe he just wanted to be closer to the single ladies of the Kardashian family, who basically own half of Calabasas. You know they love a baller!
