Billy Bob Thornton Lists His Malibu Home For $2.3M

He may seem like a country boy, but the actor has plenty of love for Los Angeles real estate.

Forget Fargo. Billy Bob Thornton likes to sun himself in Los Angeles! The actor, who stars on the Amazon series Goliath, just listed his modern Malibu home for $2.3 million. Thornton paid $2.35 million for the sleek property back in 2007, so it looks like he won’t be making any dough on the deal if it sells at his asking price.

Measuring 2670 square feet, the modern-style house is the epitome of luxe Malibu living. An open floor plan creates a bright and welcoming aesthetic, complete with sleek glass and steel details. A fireplace anchors the living room, which flows naturally into a dining area. In the other direction is the open blue kitchen, where a large center island is complemented by stool seating and stainless steel appliances. The four bedrooms are each bright and sunny, while the master features a luxurious bathroom with a step-in shower and deep soaking tub. Perhaps one of the most beautiful aspects of the modern home is its outdoor space, including a second floor balcony overlooking the canyons and mountains that dip into the Malibu oceanfront. A grassy backyard with lots of mature trees ensures plenty of privacy, in case you want to live like a real movie star.

Thornton, who was famously wed to Angelina Jolie back in the day, has quite the history buying and selling Los Angeles real estate. Back in 2012, he sold his sprawling Beverly Hills estate for $8 million, and decided to downsize with a $2.7 million home in Brentwood.
