ben affleck snags pacific palisades mansion for 19.5m exterior jpg

The 'Batman' star's new home may even be better than Wayne Manor.

It’s moving day for Ben Affleck. The actor/director, known for roles ranging from Batman v. Superman to Good Will Hunting opposite BFF Matt Damon, just dropped $19.25 million on a sprawling seven-bed, nine-bath estate in the luxe Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, where stars like Whoopi Goldberg, Reese Witherspoon and Tyra Banks have owned homes. Oh, and his new digs are just a half-mile from ex-wife Jennifer Garner!

Just built in 2017, Affleck’s new home is a 13,453-square-foot mansion in the ritzy Riviera neighborhood of the Palisades. The home is East Coast Traditional-style, which isn’t too out of the ordinary for the Boston-raised Hollywood heavyweight. Step inside to the bright, white foyer, where the winding staircase weaves upward to a balcony hallway. The grand living room, with a beautiful fireplace, is filled with natural light streaming in, with expansive views of the treetops. To the left is the formal dining room, as well as a butler’s pantry. A gourmet chef’s kitchen has a comfortable breakfast area and built-in work desk, and opens out to a large family room with a cozy fireplace. Oversized slider doors that open up and lead to the outdoor entertaining area provide a true combination of indoor/outdoor living that Southern California is famous for. A wood-paneled study has plenty of built-in bookcases and a bar of its own. Upstairs, the master suite is the crown jewel of the home, with its own separate sitting area, dual marble-filled bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, and two large walk-in closets that look like full-sized rooms of their own. Head downstairs and you’ll find a screening room with plush seating, gym, another family room with a  full bar, a temperature controlled walk-in wine cellar, and a maid’s room. Ideal for entertaining, the outdoor area has a beautifully landscaped backyard of rolling green grass, a spacious patio perfect for soaking up the sun, and a swimming pool, spa, outdoor barbecue, and a guest house.
