Avery Johnson, the former NBA star who transitioned to coaching and then to a post-league career as an ESPN analyst, is seeking a buyer for his sprawling – and stunning – Texas estate.

At just 5-foot-11, Johnson was dubbed the “Little General” during his years on the San Antonio Spurs, but there is nothing “little” about the 7-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 14,369 square foot estate at 23 Grand Colonial Drive in The Woodlands, TX, a community in the Houston-area.

Listed for $7,500,000, Johnson’s home was built on the 17th Hole of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at The Club at Carlton Woods. Inside, museum-quality finishes include ornate stone work, hand-scraped wood floors, heirloom feel built-ins, pristine wall treatments and murals.

The main floor features game and theater rooms with a working concession stand and a super swank climatized wine grotto.

Outside, the private and gated estate features a motor court, full basketball/sport court, incomparable pool and gorgeous grounds.

Johnson’s been seeking a buyer for the past year, and he originally asked $9 million for the estate.

Aaron Harris of Re/Max Carlton Woods is the listing agent.
