Alicia Keys And Swizz Beatz Are Selling Their Vacation Home At A Loss

The soulful singer and her rap-star husband are no longer in an Arizona state of mind.

She may be forever linked with New York, but it turns out, soulful singer Alicia Keys has a thing for Arizona. Despite professing her love for Dreamland, her four-bed, five-and-a-half-bath home for sale in Phoenix, AZ, the “Girl on Fire” is ditching the desert. Alicia and Swizz just listed the property for $3.85 million, selling it for less than the $3.9 million they paid for it in 2008.

Built in 2004, the 7,881-square-foot home sits at the top of Camelback Mountain, with panoramic views of Mummy Mountain, Squaw Peak, and the Praying Monk. Twenty-foot windows overlook the sprawling desert property. The home has an open floor plan, with tall ceilings and a mix of Santa Barbara design and contemporary style. Located on a cul-de-sac, this is the perfect spot for anyone looking to evade the lens of the paparazzi.

Dreamland also boasts a swimming pool, spa, sauna, and six-car garage. The desert oasis was a warm-weather hideaway for Alicia’s family, which includes sons Genesis, 1, and 5-year-old record producer Egypt. (Yes, really.)

But this quaint little desert compound is hardly Alicia’s only experience with real estate. Back in 2012, she and Swizz listed their New York, NY, triplex penthouse for — wait for it — $17.95 million. The duo bought the sprawling SoHo property for $12.75 million just two years before from rocker Lenny Kravitz.
