Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer has snagged herself another trophy – a new Toluca Lake home! The actress is best known for playing the outspoken maid “Minny” in The Help, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, as well as a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. With all those accolades, she needed some more shelves to house all her awards.
Property records show the actress paid $841,500 and closed on the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1,714 square feet in late April 2013.
Spencer’s new home is a classic, gated 1927 Spanish-style home with all the original charm and character with updated systems and amenities. The home has a massive basement, a large formal dining room, spacious bedrooms and contemporary bathrooms.
