Have you spied a luxury-filled lair that would be perfect for Mark Wahlberg? An au-naturel abode fit for environmentalist extraordinaire Cameron Diaz?
Life is such a challenge when you have to choose between mansions, yachts, and penthouse apartments — which is why we’re taking the hard work out of it for a few chosen celebs.
Here are some hot spots currently on the market that we think would be great for some of Hollywood’s heavy hitters:
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen, Boston
They may have high-tailed it from the heart of the city to their expansive home in the tony suburb of Chestnut Hill, MA, but we think New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who is reportedly planning on pursuing an acting career after he leaves the NFL, and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, need to snag a little hideaway in the city.
This four-bedroom, five-bath brownstone in Back Bay is an entirely renovated penthouse triplex with an open layout currently on the market for a cool $8.65 million. This urban oasis has a chef’s kitchen finished with both granite- and marble-slab counters, custom cabinetry, top-of-the-line appliances, and a walk-in pantry. The spa-like marble bath looks like the perfect place to soak the NFL’s most talented arm.
Oh, and the two private decks aren’t too shabby either.
Julia Roberts, Los Angeles
We know this Pretty Woman loves the desert life, seeing as she partially resides in Taos, New Mexico, with her husband, Danny Moder, and children.
However, she does have to make her way back to the coast quite often, as she was just spotted filming on the set of The Secret in their Eyes with Nicole Kidman on Monday. That’s why we thought she’d love this three-bedroom California villa in the oh-so-swanky ZIP code of 90210 for when she decides to sporadically head back to Cali for filming. (Girl sure as hell doesn’t have to audition anymore.)
This gorgeous hideaway is completely hidden from the street and features total privacy and seclusion, which you know Julia demands. She’s one of those classic Hollywood stars who want to raise her three children to be “normal” and to eat organic kale voluntarily. And from the sound of it, she spends the majority of her time carting the kids back and forth to soccer practice like any other suburban mom.
Anyway, we think Julia and Co. would love the leafy trees and ferns that welcome you into this home’s motor court, or the cascading gardens in the backyard that climb up the terra-cotta-colored walls.
Drew Barrymore, New York
Barrymore, who just celebrated her 40th birthday over the weekend, is a tried-and-true Los Angeleno. That is, when she’s not summering on Nantucket with her picture-perfect family.
But when this laid-back California free spirit needs to jet back to the East Coast for premieres or appearances, we suggest she and her family hang their hats at this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath loft in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village.
The open layout, exposed brick, and floor-to-ceiling windows are perfect for the hippie-dippy Barrymore, whom you can just imagine making organic green juice in the kitchen for her two daughters, for whom Drew has said she is determined to be a “present parent.”
The walnut paneling contrasting with the cast-iron columns just has that earthy, “I just ate really expensive granola” feel that’s perfect for Drew and her happy little family.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Miami
They’ve got 99 problems, but real estate ain’t one. Beezus and her man are frequent visitors to the Florida coast, where they like to catch some sun on the beach during the day with their pint-size princess, Blue Ivy, and hit the town’s hottest restaurants at night. (Now that’s what we call “Big Pimpin’.”)
And seeing as the family has decided to set up shop for now in the ritzy Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, they’re sure to be jet-setting between coasts any day now.
We think Jay and Bey, who just stole the show at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday night, would really go for an extended vacation at this nine-bed, nine-bath palace, which features 140 feet of water frontage, perfect for docking their yacht right in their backyard.
There’s also a covered barbecue area with a summer kitchen, waterside pool, and cabana, so if the rest of Destiny’s Child feels like swinging by for a cocktail, they never even have to leave the property.
