"It’s a misery and getting worse every day. They allow more housing and the roads haven’t kept up. It takes 25 minutes to drive 2 miles most of the time. We use the smaller roads around 360 because of how bad it has become. "

"There are plenty of spacious yards, almost all fenced in, therefore I have not seen a dog running lose. There’s also a dog park within a 10 minute drive. "

"There are many friendly dogs in the neighborhood. The National Battlefield Park connected to our neighborhood is a great asset. There is also a small dog park at a county park just 5 minutes down the road. "

"Parents should know this is a safe place to live, good schools, active community, lots of youth leagues and youth activities, just a great place for family. I recommend Mechanicsville. The annual Hanover Tomato Festival and Ashland Strawberry Fair are also wonderful, not to mention the Ashland and Mechanicsville Christmas parades."

"The neighborhood is very close to major highways. Easy drive anywhere! The commute to Richmond is about 15 minutes without traffic. Many restaurants, fast food, grocery, gas, etc only a quick 5-10 minute drive away. "

"My neighborhood does not have public transportation. you need a car, but we have plenty of things around that are a close drive. plenty of restaurants, shopping grocery stores. publix is our new upcoming store. We have a small town that is growing leaps and bounds. "

"Commute is good around the area. You are close to everything, there’s a lot of stores and places to eat. I have about a 25 -30 minute commute to work in the west end. Traffic can be difficult during rush hours."
