"This area has a lot for kids to do and the neighborhoods are more kid-friendly than some other areas in Houston that I’ve lived in. The schools are outstanding here; they have a wide array of courses available on the high school level. I work for the school district as a substitute teacher, and what I see going on in the schools is outstanding. Great place to raise kids!"

"Everyone in this neighborhood has been friendly, especially if you have a dog and walk the neighborhood consistently. The trees are beautiful, houses in the neighborhood are kept tidy and well-maintained. The only knock is sometimes people drive too fast through the neighborhood. They probably don't even live in the neighborhood. "

"Christmas lights during the holiday season. Holiday markets for gifts and treats. Lots of friendly people in the neighborhoods. One thing we don't like: the razing of a 100 year old National Historic Register property that was significant, beautiful and structurally sound with no effort whatsoever to recycle, or reuse any of the high-end building materials from the site. A disgrace. "
