"Movie nights, free concerts and other events in summer. Well maintained public pool and very nice park with BBQ grills, tennis and basketball courts, outdoor gums and ping pong tables as well as skateboard park. Good public schools, nice restaurants on 30th Ave, Ditmars and 31st Ave with great Italian/Greek presence. It’s proximity to Manhattan makes so easy to commute. 2 train lines E/R and W/N and several bus lines to Manhattan make this a special neighborhood. "

"I live in Astoria for 3 years and so far it’s been good. It’s accessible to supermarkets, shopping areas, restaurants, and community is friendly. There are a lot of dog walkers but it’s contained and rarely do you here any barking. The only issue is parking but when everything is in walking distance it doesn’t concern us. "
