    "Dogs lovers are Welcome! Very pet friendly neighborhood along with cats. We have a lake with ducks and geese so there are lots of animals and nature. There are more homes with dogs then there are without. If you are not an animal lover then this neighborhood probably not for you:)"

The character of O'Neal is exemplified by its calm environment. This part of Baton Rouge is quiet overall, as the streets are reasonably tranquil - however noise can be bothersome around Interstate 12. Finally, reaching public green spaces, such as South Harrell's Ferry Road Park and Forest Park, is easy from a large number of locations in the neighborhood and there are a few of them close by for residents to relax in.

What kinds of homes are available in O'Neal?

In O'Neal, the majority of buildings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This part of Baton Rouge also has a good variety of unit sizes - it is quite easy to find houses ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
