We also have a buyer who might be interested in accepting our counter offer. Even if the buyer accepts our offer before our listing agreement ends, my agent says we have to extend the listing agreement with them.
Basically here is what she says: once the listing has ended, the house is off the market and any offer that was made and accepted during the listing period will be null and void. The listing agent says a listing agreement must be in place between us until the purchase by the buyer is completed (I assume escrow closed).
Is this correct? Any feedback/comments will be greatly appreciated.

Mon, 14 Sep 2009 14:59:47 PDT

D. D.
