Julia Galef writes in the A/N Blog: "He's urging architects and planners to celebrate those roots, to 'open them up and communicate them, show that beauty of the natural topography that still exists.' Islanders owner Charles Wang has been trying to get a new arena built on Long Island for years (to no avail), and the team's lease expires in 2015. But don't prepare that welcome basket just yet, Mets fans: the Islanders haven't called the guy back. [Newsday]</p>
