Is insurance offered by most brokers?
Are most pay structures 100% commission?
How do you get new listings/clients- knocking on residential doors?
Do agencies usually give you leads, new clients, etc?
On average how many sales per year do realtors typically make?
Are marketing materials supplied?
Are you required to work in an office or is working at home an option?
Do new agents usually lose money, then give up and quit?

I realize this will all vary depending on what broker you work for, but please answer based on who you work for. This will give me several answers with everyone answering based on their specific company...all keep reading is "Depending on the agency..." which doesn't really answer any of my questions.

Thu, 3 Dec 2009 18:42:06 PST

PROPERTY TAX QUESTION - NEW PURCHASE: We just purchased a new construction home at the end of September. During closing, we recieved a "credit" for the taxes owed from Jan-Sep of 2009. We have since recieved our tax statement and we owe more than 5 times our "credit!" First, how could the title company have missed the credit calculation by so much? Second, do we have any recourse to recoup the true amount of what was owed for the period we did not owe the house (Jan-Sep)? More info - We signed a typical TREC contract. The home that I want is listed at $30,000 and is in the 75224 area code. I was told that I can get first time buyer grants to help with the down payment or that I can use my tax credit for the down payment. Is this true? Can I do this even with bad credit?
