The phone number, 540-899-9066, now belongs to another business. I found a listing on your website of some property in the Little Whim neighborhood and was wondering if you have a real estate agent who knows that vicinity well who might be able to tell me if this studio is still in business or moved or whatever. I purchased photos from that studio multiple times, most recently in late November 2007. I wanted to just buy the blinds from internet and install myself, but my wife insists buying local so that she could actually see the blinds and would not allow me drill any holes since it's a new house.

We've shopped around in couple places.

Currently Home Depot seems to charge the least amount (around $1300 for 10 windows including labor of $20/window)

Lowe's material price are about the same but their labor charge is more expensive

"Next Day Blind's" seems to have high price tags for material, although they said they would price match any other offer.

We are still waiting for "Budget Blinds" to schedule us a free in-house consultation and estimate. They claim they do not charge installation and have low-price guarantees. Just wondering if anyone have experiences with them or have other places to refer to?

Thanks

Sun, 30 Mar 2008 07:52:06 PDT

I'm looking to buy new furniture. However, we have been waiting and waiting for over a year for any of this retail to be built and open. Telfair has no plans for a grocery, but Aliana has plans for a very large HEB. I'm told this is all slow to develop because of the economy or lending situation. However, all of us residents are tired of driving 5 miles minimum for anything. Does anyone have any idea when the lending situation when be relaxed, and we can finally get some retail and commercial around here. I know there's got to be a market for it...

Mon, 26 Oct 2009 13:44:46 PDT

Online Rental Comps resource in Chicago

http://www.trulia.com/voices/Shopping_and_Local_Amenities/Online_Rental_Comps_resource_in_Chicago-10570

Can anyone recommend good online rental comp resources in Chicago? What I've done so far is just check THE READER...but, I'm finding that the range for a 2br/2ba is larger than I'd expect and it's hard to compare a potential rental property to see where my rental point would be.

I asked my buying agent and he said that's how he'd get comps is by checking the reader. Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Sat, 6 Oct 2007 00:14:30 PDT
