We are prospective home buyers, also expecting our first baby in the next 2 weeks, so might start the home search in Feb 2010. We moved to OldBridge in 2008, friends have suggested East Brunswick, Manalapan, Marlboro. I work in NYC and easy commute is important. My wife is a recently graduated dentist and currently works for a group practice, but would want to start her own practice in the coming 2-3 years.
So which towns among our list are desirable, considering an overall good value with respect to price, taxes, school system, business scenario, township ratings, commute to NYC.....

Our criteria is Max price $400k, atleast 3 beds, 2 baths,1 garage, decent back yard/patio area, basement for entertaining, relatively modern design, easy commute to NYC.

Mon, 21 Dec 2009 18:12:53 PST

Old incorrect MLS listing apear on trulia.com.

http://www.trulia.com/voices/Home_Selling/Old_incorrect_MLS_listing_apear_on_trulia_com_-186305

I found our house listed on trulia.com with an MLS number that expired on 13 Dec 09. A new MLS number with a new agent appeared on 14 Dec 09, and was listed properly on realtor.com and other local MLS sites that very day.

I submitted Ticket 5393-10074021 on this. The reply from support I got was ridiculous - - that the previous agent has to correct this. If trulia.com just does what they advertise to do -- like keep updated with realtor.com?! -- new listings would be updated properly. I am looking to buy an investment property around $500K-$600K in San Francisco and rent it out. I have been looking mostly in SOMA. What are your thoughts about it and which areas and buildings would you recommend? From my search so far I like Metropolitan the most in SOMA. I am not that impressed with Beacon however prices have dropped so much that it might be a good buy now as well.
I have seen on unit in Pacific Heights which I like too. here are the listings. Would appreciate any comments and suggestions from agents or anyone else.
