I don't know if there is an average price; each house is built a little different.
I had so many issues with the way my home was constructed, that I was looking at close to $20k.
I ended up doing Mitsubishi Slim Jims which do not require any "tunneling" of air, are very economic, make no noise and don't take up any space.
Do what I did....shop around and get a lot of estimates and different opinions.
If you are asking in anticipation of potentially purchasing a home, it would depend on the size of the home (among other considerations).

Hi, Your options are Mt Kisco which is about 15-18 minutes by car, or Croton-on Hudson. The Croton train is probably a better option since it is a major hub and will have more trains.
