We are middle class as well and we live in USC. We enjoy it here very much. We're actually selling our 3 bedroom for a 4 bedroom home and plan to stay here. Of course the taxes are higher here than other places but you have to consider that your in the best public school district around. There are plenty of homes here that are nice that aren't in the multi $100's. And also, just for added FYI, my friends also live in USC on one teacher's salary and they make it work. Deutsche Bank is not something you can contact. It is like saying contact the Federal Government. The people you contact over the phone have no authority to help you. Now if you want to know within minutes of when a particular home can be purchased that is a auto search set up in the mks so you are notified by email when it hits the market. Looks like the 36A is the best bet. You can check the schedules at the Port Authority website but it looks like about a 40 minute ride from the South Hills Village Mall area. I don39;t see any transfers involved.... more
In Virginia, we have something called shrink/Swell and it is a soil that expands and contracts with moisture content. When they submit plans to build the home, the footing specifications are determined by the shrink swell soil ratio. This may be the same in Pennsylvania.
