There may be some gated community that has some sort of rule, but I don't know of any. Navarre is a pretty laid back area, and there are many pet owners of all sorts of breeds of dogs. Most people have fenced yards for pets--they don't run free anywhere, for their own safety as well as others. Navarre, especially in Holley By the Sea, has many homes with very large yards, making them perfect for pets.

Jean, Most of Navarre is very close to the beach. Navarre actually sits on the Santa Rosa Sound, which is an intercoastal waterway, but there are beaches on the north side of the sound. There is a free bridge across to Navarre Beach, which is actually on the Gulf of Mexico. I would have to say that most of Navarre is no more than 5-10 minutes away from the beach! Great Location, and inexpensive relative to other places in the area such as Destin, but the same beautiful white beaches and aqua water.

I am a realtor and an appraiser , and primarily, I work from home. It is very important that I have reliable internet service. I previously had internet service from cable (MediaCom is in Navarre and Gulf Breeze) but for whatever reason, there were too many down days. I switched to bellsouth (which is now AT&T) and it is great. I never have issues. For cellphone service, I tried several. I got tired of having to talk in my driveway, and switched to Verizon. I can call from inside my house! I never have dropped calls or any other problems. I hope this helps.

no worse than anywhere else--it is just that they did get hit with Ivan, which local people remember well--came on shore at Gulf shores Alabama, and we got the Northeast corner--worst possible place. Navarre is a great affordable place to locate, half way between Pensacola and Destin!! If i can assist you in any way, please contact me at 850-305-6256 or MykeSaysSold@aol.com
