In my opinion, it is inappropriate for the seller's agent to contact YOUR lender.
I would be surprised if the lender would engage in a conversation with the agent.

We currently have a $650,000 interest only mortgage. Our home is worth about $500,000, we have requested a refinance a number or times with no luck.
That's unfortunate. For home owners who are underwater, you would only have a chance at a refinance if your mortgage happens to qualify for a government subsidized programs like HARP.
