Unknown on Trulia is pretty meaningless. The problem with Trulia and Zillow and others is that the listings are often found someplace else and automatically posted there on those sites to add to the amount of listings. They are often out of date and many are sold months ago and never deleted or updated. When you are serious about finding homes you need to contact a local Realtor to feed you real and up to date listings and not rely 100% on online sites not matter which ones. Different mls areas use different statuses of the listings.
Unknown - I have no idea what that would be as a status - seems odd to me
Contingent - means there is another offer but there are contingencies with it. These can vary from having to sell another house before the buyer can buy this one or contingent of finance being accepted or contingent on an inspection.
Bank Owned - means it was probably foreclosed in the past and now the lender (bank) owns the house and is selling it themselves. Also called a REO property and incorrectly called a foreclosure.

The bank will generally offer a Cash For Keys (CFK) arrangement where you sign an agreement to move out by a given date and leave the house relatively clean in exchange for a check to help with your moving costs. Typically they give about 30 days from the date they contact you, but you may be able to negotiate for a bit longer. The cash amount that they offer initially is negotiable as well.... more
