Hi John.............There is no question kitchen and bathroom upgrades pay off in the end.
I'd place your wish list in the following order.
1. get rid of the linoleum - tile kitchen and baths
2. buyers love hardwood - put HW in the great room
(the first 2 are really great upgrades - if you can only do 2 - I'd suggest doing them)
3. not sure what is around the shower or bath wall now - but new tile is a great improvement, for a fresh look
4. granite counters are still sought-after by buyers - other options are silestone (quartz)
5.crown molding is nice...........but I'd put it last on the list
As long as you are doing this for your own enjoyment - go ahead and enjoy! Just keep an eye to the future, and make sure any selections you make are neutral...........stay away from strong colors. The same goes for paint colors in the house...........paint is another great upgrade.
Good luck - hope this helps!
