Hello Scott, Mount Laguna has an improvement association and therefore cabin owner's pay an association fee which goes to various things, such as equipment for the volunteer fire deparment, forestation and re-forestation, tree tagging, education, permits, fire insurance, and to be a member of the National Forest Homeowners.
The cabins are on National Forest land. You cant live there full time or use as a rental. You cant get a loan on them. You only own the cabin, not the land. The land is leased by permit for 20 years. The annual permit fee is approx $1500 a year. There's a board of directors, Mt Laguna Improvement Association. You will recieve a bill once a year for water, It's based on useage. You also have to pay Taxes and fire insurance. So basically check with the Mt. Laguna Improvment Association for more details on the exact fees.
