Try checking the tax records. If they are not online you can call the tax assessor's office, it's all public record so they have to tell you. Sometimes certain addresses just don't show up on maps for some reason or another. Sometimes the entrance is on a side street while the home faces another and it can be very confusing.
I am not sure why you think this would be mortgage fraud. Perhaps you could explain a little more. Unless it's recorded incorrectly on the deed or mortgage documents, though, it's not a mortgage problem and even if it IS recorded incorrecty, unless someone is using that fact to cheat the bank out of money, I doubt it would rise to the level of actual fraud.... more
Irvington residents have two choices. You can get a parking permit from Metro North which allows you to park at the Irvington train station. Or you can go to town hall and purchase a parking permit for the Ardsley on Hudson train station. It is a very interesting question. If you are shopping to find a realtor to represent you, that is fine. If you are doing it because each realtor is showing you their own listing that can be a detriment because you must remember that the agent in that instance is really the agent of the seller. Some agents work within a small geographic area while others cover much larger areas. If you are working with multiple agents you may not get their undivided attention as you would with a true buyer agent.
Just as the seller receives the fiduciary duties and other responsiblities from the Seller's agent, I always suggest to buyers that they should get the same fiduciary duties and more from their buyer agent.
Just like shopping for a car, clothes or other important personal items, interview and shop around for a realtor who fits your criteria and needs. This is high value purchase and you should have very good representation protecting your interests not only finding you a home but in negotiating the transaction and verifying all the information pertinent to the property.
