Yes there are realtors that can help you find rentals. I work with several investors in the area that provide rentals. The fee is incurred by the landlord for placing the tennant. The only fee you would incur is the credit check and application fee. This is usually around$30.00. If you are interested in my services please give me a call.
There are rental communities on the east side of Harrisburg .Go to rent.com and you will find them along Rt 39. This are new or nearly new town houses with nice things, like swimming pool, tennis ,etc.
You might be able to rent a house that is for sale, but that the owner might be willing to rent out, since they can not sell it. This can happen when it is owned by an investor.
For these houses you might need the help of a sales agent , but since there is not much to earn in these cases, you are mainly on your own.
I have been able to help people like you, but it is not easy in this area.
Maybe you should widen your search area , depending where your work .
It also depends how much you are able to pay in rent. Don't expect wonders for less than $2000 / month. Call me !... more
