It depends on where you are buying the property. In the county section of Compton, you don't need a pre-sale inspection, but in the city of Compton you need one. If you are buying in the city of Compton you will need a pre-sale inspection and will most likely have to sign off on a city clearance. When you repair the property you will have to have the city inspector come out and sign off on the repairs. So if you were planning on any additions, you will have to get them permitted.
