At that price, your best bet would be Heathstead in the Southpark area. 600-800 is more consistent with 1 bdr, 1 bath in those historic or high end areas.

There is a county website for Mecklenburg County little difficult to navigate through but also Zillow.com gives you approximates and they are close.
