Prices tend to increase or at least stabalize in the summer months as buying increases and average time on the market decreases. If you are thinking abour listing a home, do it in the Spring or Summer. If buying, prices are better in the winter. These are general market trends and your experience may be different.... more
Laura...I can answer this question in two parts. First of the Buffalo Grove condo market as a whole is experiencing the same issues as many areas, a lot of sellers, not a lot of buyers. Taking a look at the big picture, in the last year about 228 condos in BG sold. Compare that with the fact that there are currently 278 condos for sale in BG right now and that'd mean if nothing else came on the market it would take almost 15 months to sell everything for sale right now.
That said, and part two of my answer, Roseglen is in a little bit better shape only having two places for sale right now. Are you looking to buy in Roseglen or sell? There are several GOOD ways to push your property to the top of the list of the 278 available condos in Buffalo Grove and none include under cutting your price. While that is a way to sell, I don't consider giving your money away a GOOD idea.
