I am a RE Broker w/ lots of experience and advanced education in real estate and a formal education. I would not attempt to sell a property without a representation. When I have had to sell a property in another state, I hired good representation, and I paid full commisison. I did not even ask for a discount or referral based upon my own Broker status in other states. In most cases, I believe sellers are well advised to hire representation. There are a few exceptions.
