You may want to use Trulia to search for a proefessional, or Zillow.com, read past client reviews and reach out to them. Call on the phone, explain your timeline, your expectations, and criteria.
If by "apt" you meant you are looking to rent, and not buy, skip the lender & finding a Realtor and Google Property Management company's Brooklyn to find one that can help you find what you are looking for.

You are much better off with a REBNY broker than you are with one who is only a member of the Brooklyn MLS. Every major NYC real estate firm belongs to REBNY, and by listing your property with a REBNY broker you will reach a far greater audience than you will with one who is only a member of the Brooklyn MLS (some firms are members of both).

I have noticed an upswing in sales in my area of LI, which I attribute to the decline in prices and an influx in first time buyers, which is enabling the sellers of these homes to move up. I still see prices going down, however. In my area I think they will continue to decline and when they complete their descent, I think prices will stay flat for some time.... more
