I live about 1 mile south of I=10 and the traffic is not noticeable here. If you were a couple of miles south there would definitely be no I-10 noise. I would be happy to help you find a quiet, peaceful home.
Thanks for reaching me at the Contacts below.

Hi Annie, please send me your email address, so I can search for apartments and send you a list. Just to let you know it gets s bit difficult to get good 3 bedroom apartments for $900, but I can check and let.you know what is available.
Are you looking to rent at the Bush high school or Elementary school? They are in different zip codes:
77407 & 77077, respectively.
I can assist you with both.

The areas you prefer carry rents in excess of your budget. The Houston rental market is very active, and it's simply a matter of supply and demand. Galleria is a possibility ... I've leased property in that price range there, albeit a bit older condominium units. If you'll provide your contact information, I can let you know what's available within your price range. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey mya!!! I have lived here in Houston my whole life and have been a realtor for 9 years so I can give you some good ideas. It really depends on your price range. I doubt anyone will argue that a new stadium will not enhance the tourist market where it's being built. It's like asking if a new airport will increase the amount of travelers.... more

That's largely correct. The only "zoned" areas are residential subdivisions. Otherwise, pretty much anything goes. There are strong arguments from factions on both sides of the issue ... which means that nothing will ever change.
Hi AJ, as in the previous forum, your rent depends and varies by the area and the subdivision. If you can come to a decision on 2 or three areas, we can help you with some numbers by checking what the current market is bringing in for rent or resale. Since Houston is such a vast area it is hard to give a global answer. Start by deciding where you would be happy to live in your home and then you can make a few more choices.
Can you give me a bit more information ... your budget, bedrooms/bathrooms, square footage, schools, etc. The rental market is very active, and good units rent quickly. I own several myself ... they've proven to be excellent investments. The actual location would depend upon your preference and budget. While your initial investment would be more within the loop, you'd have a greater rental income ... conversely, the further out you go, the more house you get. Rents would be lower but you'd have less invested. In this market, you shouldn't have any difficulty renting out a nice unit, irrespective of the area. Please get in touch with me ... I can give you an investor's view of things, as well as help find a great home that would meet your objective. I look forward to hearing form you.
Houston and Katy do not share a school district ... different cities, different ISD's. I can't envision any situation where you could live in one and send your child to school in the other.
The Heights is an older, ecclectic location ... and while I'm certain that there are children residing there, it lacks the amenities associated with areas that attract families. It wouldn't be my choice if I were in your situation. In a metropolitan area as diverse as Greater Houston, I'm certain we can find a place that would satisfy both your children's and your needs. Please get in touch ... I look forward to hearing from you.
Everyone will have their own opinions on this one, but Northwest and Northside in Cypress ISD and/or Klein ISD are good places and you get a lot of house for your dollar....
