The only time the city would shut down would be during a bad blizzard which happens about once every five or six years. I think the winters are fairly mild for Montana. There is no severe cold and little wind. If you like skiing the Flathead has a great downhill ski mountain and many areas for Nordic skiing. The summers are great for any lake or river activities. But one of the best things about the Flathead is that you have Glacier Park in your back yard. It has to be one of the best places to see anywhere in the country and you have fast and easy access to it.
My house is a wonderful place, very warm and comfortable. The location is great because it is close to an excellent elementary school and high school plus the downtown area. I'm assuming you've seen the pictures. Also, Im in the process of putting on a new roof so that's will be a great asset and benefit to owning the house.

I would suggest talking to a mortgage specialist in your local area. There are many different loan programs available and the best way to find out which one meets your needs is to make an appointment with a loan officer that services your area. If you don't know who to go to, you can get in touch with a real estate agent for a referral. They are in the best position to know who does the best job and they will appreciate someone who is willing to find out their buying position before taking up their time. It is much more productive and efficient to know what price range you need to be looking at before you start. Good luck.... more

Be certain you check chain of title and know what additional liens are on the property, check easements, past sales and be sure you personally see the property before you bid. Auctions are more complex than they seem. If you are not a local expert, you probably need to find one to help you on this for your own protection.... more
