I think it will be difficult to fine a "neighborhood" that is like that as many people that make these lifestyle choices are found in many neighborhoods. I eat mainly raw foods, recycle profusely and get fresh foods from traders point, broad ripple farmers market and grow my own herbs. Several of my friends and past clients home school and garden and attachment parent but they live in Butler Tarkington, Zionsville, Westfield. Really all over. Let me know if I can assist you in any way. I would be happy to help. email firstname.lastname@example.org or my cell is 317-430-5558... more
Depends on your situation. Sometimes if we can find a home you really like and if you can put down a big enough amount the seller will do a rent to own or a land contract. Give me a call and we can discuss details.

You will need to find someone who is willing to rent their home to you for the next "X" number of years and then you would usually need to obtain financing to purchase the home from them. Just make sure that whatever terms you agree to will be possible for you when it comes time to purchase. Talk to a lender now and see how long before you will be able to qualify for a mortgage because you don't want to enter a "Rent with Option to Buy" without knowing when you will be able to actually buy. If you click on the link below it will take you to my Blog about how a "Rent to Own" works.
Hello. In addition to a good credit score, some other factors which lenders will take into consideration is LTV (Loan To Value) and DTI (Debt To Income). With a low income, currently, your DTI will likely be too high to qualify for another mortgage. To counter that, you would need a pretty big down payment.
Your best option, other than selling your existing home, is to rent a home for one year in IN and rent out your existing home. Make sure that you claim the property than as a rental on your following years tax return. At that point, you could counter that debt from your credit with the rental payment coming in and have a better chance of getting a mortgage for another home in IN or whereever you end up.
I hope this information will help you. If you have any other questions, I am more than happy to answer you if you would like to email me directly at Iyad@REPropertyManger.com.
Good luck with your move.

We’re also assuming you gotten past the “nibbling” stage – reading the paper, maybe going to an open house or two - and you’re ready to get serious. So treat these as general guidelines.
BUYING A HOME (The process start with the Banker not the Realtor)
Start the process right 1st by talking to a Licensed Mortgage Professional to determine who much home you can afford and whether you are credit wordy and is there an ability to repay the loan.
The Mortgage Professional will give you a conditional approval letter to take to the realtor.
Once the realtor has found your home you should get it inspected to determine if it’s structurally safe (have the realtor recommend one locally) and be sure to ask your realtor to negotiate a home warranty paid by the seller.
Now is the time to determine and negotiate you rate and terms with the Loan Officer who is responsible to order an appraisal that you will be responsible to pay for prior to the arrival of the appraiser.
You’re Mortgage Professional / Loan Officer will be responsible to guide you the rest of the process and should not take more than 30 days.
